Biography of Rene Stevens 1858-1938

Belgian School. Landscape painter. Pupil at the Academy of Beaux Arts, Brussels. Founder and secretary of the League of Friends of the Forest (1912). In 1923 published the book “The Guide of the Soignes Forest” ( Which is in Auderghem, south-east of the capital Brussels). Many painters including (René Stevens) and poets lived there and were inspired by the forest.
